There are 3,500 calories in one pound of fat. So in theory, if you count calories and work 3,500 calories out of your diet, it is possible that you may lose an entire pound of fat. Our bodies are meant to be active and to burn calories. You can lose fat quickly by cutting back on calorie intake and increasing your exercise regimen as well, but, DON’T OVER DO IT! Doctors recommend that you lose no more than 2 pounds of weight per week in order to ensure your body properly adjusts to the weight loss. Especially as a Teen, be extra careful because too much weight loss in a short time can cause problems with your growth, joints, and it’s just not safe.
